Alessia Basello

Study Abroad Coordinator

Alessia Basello, Study Abroad CoordinatorAlessia grew up in a small village in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in the northeastern part of Italy, not far from the Austrian-Italian border. Her longing for new adventures and travel developed at an early age and was her inspiration to study several foreign languages and to travel any chance that she could get.

After high school, she attended the University of Trieste and earned her bachelor´s degree in International and Diplomatic Studies. During the last year of her studies, she spent six months in Frankfurt am Main on an Erasmus program, where she enjoyed the great experience of living and studying abroad. After returning back to Italy, she moved to Milan to study European Studies at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. After the completion of her master’s degree, she craved the chance to work abroad, which is what led her path to CEPA.

Although her academic background is mainly focused on international relations and political science, Alessia has developed a strong interest in the tourism industry. In fact, she enjoys planning a trip almost more than the actual travelling itself. Her experience as student assistant at Università Cattolica in Milan taught her not only to solve but also to prevent the most difficult problems faced by students. She is now very keen to actively contribute her expertise with international students and provide the best experiences possible with CEPA.

Her native language is Italian, she is fluent in English and French, has a solid knowledge of German and some basic knowledge of Russian.
