Julia Westenberger

Study Abroad Coordinator

Julia was born and raised in Wuppertal. From an early age she showed interest in traveling and other languages, which was fueled by various family vacations around Europe.

During high school she decided to study abroad for a year to enhance her English skills and to get to know a foreign culture. She lived and went to school in Nova Scotia, Canada and absolutely loved her time there. While studying there she came in contact with foreign languages and other international students and ever since then her love for traveling and other cultures has grown immensely.

After graduating high school in 2015, she wanted to further pursue her passion for travel and decided to study International Tourism Studies at the Harz University of Applied Sciences in Wernigerode. Given the opportunity to graduate with a double-degree, she went to study in New Zealand for two semesters as part of her studies.

Julia has worked as an intern at a destination management company in Toronto, Canada, where she gained valuable work experience in the tourism industry especially with regards to product management and organization.

She decided to work at CEPA because her experiences while studying abroad were some of the most influential times for her. Moreover, her passion for travel, other cultures and languages and her experience in the tourism industry made CEPA seem like the perfect fit.

In her free time, she likes to dance, do horseback riding, go to concerts and travel.

Julia is fluent in both German and English and has basic knowledge of French and Spanish.
