Lena Diepenbrock

Assistant Director of Operations, Global Experiences

Lena grew up in a small city in North Rhine Westphalia, close to the German – Dutch border. Her passion for traveling already developed at a very young age exploring different European destinations together with her parents during the summer months every year.

After high school, Lena started her bachelor studies at the NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences in Breda, The Netherlands, during which she attained many international experiences.

She participated in a faculty-led program herself and traveled to Brazil for two weeks with her class. Through this experience, she has a great appreciation for the student’s perspective since she took part in such a program herself. This experience has proven to be very valuable for her current projects and responsibilities at CEPA.

In addition, she also completed an internship at an incoming tour operator in Hollywood, Florida which helped her gain an even deeper insight into the American culture.

Shortly after earning her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in International Tourism Management, Lena decided to follow her passion and traveled to Australia and parts of South East Asia for a whole year. While being abroad on her own, she improved her organizational skills and got to know many people with diverse cultural backgrounds.

This trip of a lifetime convinced her that she wants to share her enthusiasm for traveling and other cultures and joined the CEPA family in 2014. Lena knows about the importance of intercultural experiences and enjoys developing and implementing academic study abroad programs together with universities.

German is her native language, she is fluent in English, and has working knowledge of the French and Dutch languages.
