Study Abroad Coordinator Samira Bührer

Samira grew up in Heilbronn, a city in the region of Baden Württemburg, closely located to hubs such as Heidelberg and Stuttgart. Due to the multicultural background of the city, she was exposed to a wide range of different cultures from a young age. Her fascination of intercultural communication was born after her stay abroad in the US shortly after high school. In the light of this culturally enriching experience, she decided to earn a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in European Studies at the University of Passau in Bavaria and at KU Leuven in Belgium. In doing so, she specialized in the study of American and British cultural life. Being keenly interested joining intercultural settings, she also took part in a 2-week summer school jointly organized by the University of Passau and Texas A&M University during her Bachelor studies. During this program, she gained further valuable cultural hands-on experience which she now fruitfully implements in her new role as a Study Abroad Coordinator at CEPA in Ingersheim.

Samira’s mother tongue is German, she is also fluent in English, has good knowledge of French and basic knowledge in Spanish as well as Dutch.
