This program is “a dream come true” for students preparing to work in the fashion and textile industries. Participants will gain an understanding of everything from silk production to fashion designing. This program offers nothing but the best by taking students to Paris and Milan, two of the world’s leading fashion cities. Visits to sites and museums will be arranged to help students gain a better understanding, not only of the fashion industries, but also of European cultures.

  • DAY 1

    • Overnight flight to Paris, France (group flight can be booked separately)
  • DAY 2-5: PARIS

    Stay 4 nights at a 3-star hotel in Paris

    • Arrival at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)
    • Check-in at the hotel and orientation session by your CEPA On-Site Coordinator
    • Guided walking tour of the Marais quarter, which has become a fashionable district and is home to many trendy restaurants, fashion houses, and hip galleries
    • Welcome dinner at a French restaurant
    • Visit a fashion school in Paris (e.g. Studio Berçot) for a tour of their facilities and the possibility to meet local students to exchange experiences
    • Guided tour of Louis Vuitton Fondation, which is an art museum and cultural center sponsored by the group Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton S.A. (LVMH) and its subsidiaries
    • Guided tour of the Musée de la Mode et du Textile, which holds works of important collections of French fashion designers such as Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, and Yves Saint Laurent
    • Visit to the Galeries Lafayette Fashion Show to discover the latest trends of the season by the hand of models which will be taking part to perform for you the Haussmann store’s fashion collection
    • Free time to visit the Chanel Boutique at 31, rue Cambon at your own pace to learn about Coco Chanel, who created the brand between 1910 and 1920
    • Guided tour of Palais Galliera, the Fashion Museum of the city of Paris, which focuses on the history of the museum and its current exhibitions
    • The rest of the day is free for shopping and exploring Paris on your own
  • DAY 6-7: MILAN

    Stay 3 nights at a 3-star hotel in Milan

    • Optional: Group flight from Paris to Milan
    • Check-in at the hotel and orientation session by your CEPA On-Site Coordinator
    • Guided tour of Fondazione Prada, an institution dedicated to contemporary art and culture. Learn about the institution’s venue as well as artworks from the Prada Collection; Alternatively, audio-guided tour of Armani/Silos to explore the exhibitions and the digital archives of this fashion art museum dedicated to Armani style at your own pace.
    • Guest lecture on “The Italian Fashion Industry” at the Instituto Marangoni or similar, during which you will get an insight into the Italian fashion industry as well as current important designers
    • Guided walking tour of Milan to see sights such as the mall Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II, and the Quadrilatero della moda (high-class shopping district), including stops at fashion stores
  • DAY 8-9: LAKE COMO - MILAN

    • Visit the weaving factory, atelier, and printing facilities of e.g. Mantero, an undisputed leader in the creation, production, and distribution of textiles for men and women
    • Admission to the silk museum “Museo didattico della Seta”, which is a true account of the history of the silk industry in Como, to learn about the history of silk production
    • Farewell dinner at an Italian restaurant
    • Departure from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)

    Flight tickets from Paris to Milan can be arranged for your group at additional cost, depending on availabilty at the time of booking.

  • All program fees are calculated to include participation of one accompanying faculty or group leader.
