ESPM in Berlin: A Blend of Innovation and Culture
ESPM Escola Superior de Propaganda (Brazil)
June 22 – 29, 2024
During the last week of June, a Brazilian delegation of communication and marketing professionals, students, and professors from ESPM Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing embarked on an enriching journey that blended professional insights with cultural explorations in Berlin. A fun day trip to Leipzig to visit the Porsche plant and to explore another German city was also a part of the program.
The group was led by Dr. Vivian Strehlau, Vice-Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Business Administration at ESPM, and Tatiana Visnevski, a member of the Board of Directors at CEPA Foundation. Vivian was accompanied by her fellow professors at ESPM, Suzane Strehlau, who is also her sister, and Silvio de Vasconcellos. Roseli Porto and Fernando Jorge Moreira Silva are also fellow colleagues who joined them on this educational trip to Germany.
“I really appreciated the variety of the visits. The distribution across the days was also very well planned and comfortable”, said Debora Franchim, an experienced marketing professional who is studying for her master’s degree in Consumer Behavior at ESPM.
This large variety of their visits in Berlin included among others:
- EUREF Campus: tour of the business park, Garamantis presentation technologies and EUREF Energy Workshop by GASAG Solution Plus
- Berlin TXL – Urban Tech Republic: tour of the former airport which is to be remodeled to a center for urban innovation
- Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB): presentation on Smart City Dialogue and discussion round
- Einstein Center Digital Future: Introduction to interdisciplinary research on Smart Cities and Smart Water Networks
- IKEM Institute: Creative workshop on solution-focused storytelling about “Climate narratives: Challenges and empowerment in the energy transition”
- A tour of the Original Unverpackt store and a presentation about the zero-waste movement
- A tour of the Ritter Sport flagship store and a workshop to create their own chocolate bars
Both of the Strehlau sisters expressed their desire to run their summer programs with us again next year, one in France and the other one in Eastern Europe. We at CEPA take great pleasure in organizing and running these programs with them for 10 years now and look forward to more years of successful collaboration.
