Culture and Education in Italy

Teacher education professors Dr. Anna Schwan and Dr. Nicole Schutter led a group of students on an unforgettable journey organized by CEPA where the group explored the Italian education system, culture, history, art, music, food, and architecture.

Program highlights developed and run by CEPA:

  • Rome – visited important sites such as the Coliseum, the Vatican, and the Sistine Chapel. From Rome we travel by train to the enchanting city of
  • Florence – visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa and explored Lucca, one of the most stunning cities in Tuscany that is still surrounded by thick medieval walls.
  • Venice – took a water taxi, visited Glass Island, and free time in Lido di Venezia
  • Teaching – the students learned about the fusion of Italian history, culture, and education by visiting schools, including the Scuola Waldorf Firenze

Not only did the students gain a broader global awareness but they surely created long-lasting memories and built new friedships.
