CEPA Scholarships

Students from CEPA ESC Affiliate Partners are welcome to apply.

“A scholarship is more than just financial support, it is a passport for your potential.”

Scholarships awarded by CEPA/ESC are merit and need-based.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Completed program application
  • Scholarship application
  • 3.0 GPA or higher (unofficial transcript)
  • Resume
  • Personal essay
  • Study abroad advisor’s signature

Your personal essay should answer one or more of the following questions in 400-500 words:

  • Describe how a personal experience or person in your life has motivated you to study abroad?
  • What are your personal, academic, and career goals while abroad?
  • How do you think or hope that your study abroad experience will affect your life once you return home?

Scholarship Notification Process

In most cases, scholarship decisions are made prior to the program application deadlines. Students will be informed in a timely manner about the decision.

Available Funding

  • Semester Abroad Scholarship

    Global Major Scholarship
    Amount: up to $1,000
    Eligibility: Any student participating in a CEPA/ESC semester abroad program.

    First Generation Scholarship
    Amount: up to $1,000
    Eligibility: Students participating in a CEPA/ESC semester program who are the first in their family to study at a university/college.

  • Summer Intercultural Leadership Scholarship

    Amount: up to $500
    Eligibility: Available to students enrolled in the Summer Intercultural Leadership Program. Applicants should be able to demonstrate how they have used their intercultural knowledge, skills, or understanding on their home campus.

Fall Semester: May 15
Spring Semester: October 1
Summer Program: May 1

*Scholarship applications received after the deadlines will be reviewed based on availability. We understand that school application deadlines and processing times may vary by institution. Do not let the deadline deter you from submitting a scholarship application; you will still be considered.
