Alexandra Mitchell (She/Her)
Vice President of Development and Institutional Relations
With a lifelong passion for art, culture, and international education, Alexandra brings extensive personal and professional experience to the CEPA team. Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, she has lived, studied, and worked in Paris, France since 1995.
Alexandra joined CEPA in 2025 and has brought to the organization 25 years of experience in study abroad leadership. In her current role, she leads the team’s Institutional Relations and Development departments, as well as overseeing on-site operations at CEPA’s European Study Centers, Academic Affairs, Marketing, and CEPA’s Crisis Management and Health & Safety team. She wears several hats, relishes in working cross-departmentally, and splits her time between Paris, Strasbourg and the Besigheim office.
Alexandra’s own academic journey was profoundly shaped by education abroad. Describing herself as someone who was “addicted to studying abroad” as a student, her formative experiences include a high-school program in Western Europe, then an alternative spring break in the Dominican Republic, a summer program in Italy, and a full academic year in France as a university students. These immersive experiences ultimately inspired a permanent move abroad to pursue graduate studies and a career dedicated to global education.
