Lena Diepenbrock (She/Her)

Assistant Director of Operations, Global Experiences

In her role at CEPA, Lena is at the heart of bringing incredible educational journeys to life. She focusses on program development and organization, crafting unforgettable experiences for students and faculty leaders. Always looking for ways to enhance the study abroad experience, she also leads the development of the CEPA App (iCent), keeping everyone connected and informed on the go.

With a truly global mindset, Lena manages operations in destinations like Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru, while helping CEPA expand its reach to even more exciting new corners of the world.

Academic Background & Expertise

With a lifelong love for travel and connection, Lena has built a career that has taken her all over the globe.

Always eager to explore, she interned abroad for a semester during her Bachelor of Business Administration in Tourism Management studies in the Netherlands. (describe what kind of internship and where?). This international experience helped pave the way to her unforgettable time in Sydney, Australia, where she dove headfirst to work in the local hospitality scene.

Today, Lena brings this rich, hands-on global perspective to the team at CEPA. A natural communicator, she is fluent in German and English, and can easily exchange a warm greeting in French or Spanish, too. Whether collaborating with international partners or navigating new cultures, Lena enjoys bringing people together.

Why CEPA?

Lena is driven by a deep belief that education is the world’s most valuable asset. At CEPA, she thrives in a diverse, international environment, working with people from all backgrounds to design and deliver life-changing global programs. Lena is passionate about helping students broaden their horizons, experience new cultures, and develop the open-minded perspective needed to succeed in today’s interconnected world.

Beyond the Office

When she’s not busy working, you can usually find her nurturing her thriving indoor jungle—though her outdoor gardening skills are still very much a work in progress! She stays energized by hitting the gym, exploring scenic hiking trails, or curling up with a great book. She also has a deep passion for global travel, and is always planning her next adventure to immerse herself in new cultures, connect with incredible people, and—of course—taste amazing food.

♡ Advice for Students:

Strongly believing that exploration shapes character, she is inspired by Mark Twain’s famous assertion that “travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.”

Guided by a simple yet powerful philosophy: Lena’s advice is to stay curious, keep learning, and actively experience the beauty of the world.

Whether in the classroom or out in the world, Lena is aims to inspire others to step outside their “corner of the earth” to cultivate broader, more compassionate, and charitable views of the world.
