2026 CEPA Student Photography Contest
is now open for submissions!
We are excited to recognize your talent and celebrate the new perspectives you learn while studying abroad.
Who can enter?
Students participating in a study abroad program run by CEPA or CEPA Foundation between August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026
Winning submissions from the 2026 Photo Contest will be displayed on the CEPA website and social media channels and will be announced during International Education Week November 16-20, 2026.
- First Prize: $300
- Second Prize: $200
- Third Prize: $100
- Several $50 prizes for the People’s Choice Awards
* Prizes will be awarded in the form of a gift card.

Categories
Here are some creative ideas for your photo:
- Live like a local — Photos of you during your time abroad. For example, photos can be of you at your favorite spot in your host city or of you during your time abroad.
- Landscapes and Culture – Photos of you in a city where you are currently studying abroad with CEPA. Photos can include you engaging with local culture, eating local cuisine, interacting with residents, or participating in cultural events.
- Staying Sustainable While Abroad – Photos showing how you stay eco-friendly while traveling abroad or photos showing a new sustainability initiative you experienced or learned about from other cultures while traveling abroad.
Rules and regulations
- Photos must be your original content taken by you during your program.
- Photos must be of a high resolution (at least 2 MB) and without additional text or enhancements
- Photos must be free of inappropriate content, including but not limited to alcohol, cigarettes and drugs or sexual content.
- Each participant may submit a maximum of three (3) photographs. Submissions beyond this limit will not be accepted. If more than 3 photos are submitted, CEPA will decide which photos will be included in the judging.
- Winners are eligible to receive only one prize, regardless of the number of photos submitted.
- By submitting photos to CEPA, participants agree to grant CEPA license to use the photographs in displays related to the contest and in CEPA’s printed and electronic publications. Photos may be modified, retouched, and used for promotional purposes on the CEPA website, social media accounts and printed materials. By agreeing to these terms, entrants release all submitted photos from any liability arising from using the images.
How to enter the contest
Submit high-resolution photos, at least 2 MB and up to 10 MB
Please attach your photo(s) as a JPG file and include the information below per email. (Link below will automatically open in your mail program)
- Your name
- Your college/university
- Photo Title
- Location of where you took your photo
- Description: We would love to hear about what inspired you to take the photo. (2-3 sentences)
- Include the photo release statement in your email. (see below)

All submissions become the property of CEPA Customized Educational Programs Abroad who will have full, non-exclusive rights of use and circulation. By submitting my photo, I understand these terms and grant this right to CEPA.
