Title of my photo: “Once Upon A Study Abroad”

Location: St. Olaf’s Church, Tallinn, Estonia

Date: May 23, 2024

Description: Tallinn, Estonia, is known for the preservation of its medieval architecture. I had so much fun exploring Estonia and all of its grand arches, colorful buildings, and intricate designs. Everywhere I turned there was so much detail and thought put into the design of the buildings including this arched doorway of St Olaf’s Church.

Honorable Mentions

Photographer: David Fashokun
College: University of North Florida

Faculty Leader: Dr. Josh Gellers

Title of my photo: Divided by Origin, United by Heart

Photo Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Date: June 12, 2024

Description: This is a group of us on our field trip to the Middelgrunden Wind Farm trying to jokingly arrange ourselves in the order of our skin tones. I think it fits this category because of the reason and randomness of the photo also. We were all tired during this day, but this little gimmick helped to lighten up our mood. Dr. Harold Mock

Title: “A Day In The Life Of Switzerland”

Category: Landscapes and Culture

Photo Location: Lake Brienz, Switzerland

Date taken: June 14, 2024

Description: “This photo captures the stunning Swiss Alps surrounding a turquoise lake that brought chills and smiles! This hidden gem gave us the opportunity to meet with locals for advice on how to navigate the waters and see this beautiful waterfall. We participated in different water sports such as a sit-on-top kayak and pedalo as we ventured into new European territory.”

Photograher: Aiden Risher

College: University of Southern Mississippi

Faculty Leader: Keltoum Rowland

Title of my photo: “The Asamkirche: Dramaticism and Detail”

Category: Landscapes and Culture

Photo Location: Munich, Germany

Date taken: April 12, 2024

Description: “During my journey in Europe, I have tried to capture the beauty in every location that I visit, and the Asamkirche is far from an exception. This beautiful rococo-styled church is full of intricate details at every single point. Capturing such beauty all throughout Europe has been my goal not only for the principle of admiring such gorgeous, historic works of art but also to have the memories of my experience here.”
