Iceland is known for its commitment to environmental change and harnesses its unique geographic and geothermal landscape to generate more than 99% of the country’s energy. On this program, students will explore Iceland’s historc and contemporary global economic, political environmental, and cultural impact. This interdisciplinary program includes visits to a variety of cultural sites and environmental sites to develop a well-rounded perspective of how Iceland’s culture grounds its dedication to developing renewable energy.
