Germany and France have been the driving force of European integration for over half a century and many major European policies derive from Brussels, the administrative center of the European Union.

Students of international business and economics need to understand the European market to succeed in today’s world. This program will introduce students to a variety of international companies and institutions that are well-established and main global players.

By traveling through three different European countries, they will also recognize and appreciate cultural differences at first hand.

  • DAY 1

    • Overnight flight to Frankfurt, Germany (group flight can be booked separately)
  • DAY 2-3: FRANKFURT

    Stay 3 nights at a 3-star hotel in Frankfurt

    • Arrival at Frankfurt International Airport (FRA)
    • Check-in at the hotel and orientation session by your CEPA On-Site Coordinator
    • Guided walking tour of Frankfurt, focusing on “The Financial Aspects of the City”
    • Welcome dinner at a German restaurant
    • Visit the European Central Bank or the Deutsche Bundesbank to learn about the institution’s role within the Eurosystem
    • Visit the German Stock Exchange to learn about the Deutsche Börse Group and the basics of floor and Xetra trading
  • DAY 4: MANNHEIM - HEIDELBERG

    • Visit the ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research, one of Germany’s leading economic research institutes that is non-profit and independent
    • Guided walking tour of Heidelberg to learn about the university town’s history
    • Admission to the famous Heidelberg Castle
  • DAY 5-7: BRUSSELS

    Stay 3 nights at a 3-star hotel in Brussels

    • Train tickets from Frankfurt to Brussels
    • Check-in at the hotel and orientation session by your CEPA On-Site Coordinator
    • Guided walking tour of Brussels, the capital of Belgium
    • Group dinner at a Belgian restaurant
    • Free day in Brussels
    • Visit the European Commission, which is, alongside the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, one of the three main institutions governing the Union
    • Visit the Committee of the Regions, a consultative body of the EU, to understand regional policies implemented by the EU
  • DAY 8-11: PARIS

    Stay 3 nights at a 3-star hotel in Paris

    • Train tickets from Brussels to Paris
    • Check-in at the hotel and orientation session by your CEPA On-Site Coordinator
    • Guided boat tour on the famous Bateaux Parisiens
    • Visit Euronext, Europe’s second largest exchange behind the United Kingdom’s London Stock Exchange Group
    • Business visit, e.g. to Orange, a French multinational telecommunications corporation
    • Visit a French global company to complement your course, such as Schneider Electric, founded in 1836, a world leader in Power and Control solutions today
    • Farewell dinner at a French restaurant
    • Departure from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)

  • Program fee starting at € 1,730 per participant based on a group size of 15
  • All program fees are calculated to include participation of one accompanying faculty or group leader.
  • Prices are based on a minimum number of 15 or 20 paying participants.
  • The actual quote for a tailored program will vary depending on different factors, for example: the actual program dates, the final participant number, the duration of the program, the visits and excursions included, as well as varying exchange rates
