Ester Poma

Study Abroad Coordinator

Ester comes from Bergamo, a city in northern Italy. Her passion for traveling and intercultural experiences brought her to spend some years abroad and expose herself to different types of cultures.

Her first experience as an exchange student was during high school: she lived one year in Honduras with a local family and attended a local bilingual school. During her Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages, Literature, and Cultures she spent one year in Spain, one year in England, and one year in Italy. Between her Bachelor’s and Master, she lived for four months in Austria working as an Au Pair. While studying for her Master’s in Tourism Management, she lived one year in Italy and one year in Germany.

In her free time, she enjoys walking and jogging in nature, spending time with friends and family, volunteering for some international associations, and visiting new places and art museums.

She is native in Italian, fluent in German, Spanish, and English, and has a basic knowledge of French.
