Harald and Uli Leibrecht were pleased to visit the campus of CEPA’s long-standing partner of over 12 years, Florida International University (FIU) in February.

After an impressive campus tour, they met with (pictured from left to right) Rosa Fusté, the Education Abroad Interim Director; Dr. Lukas Danner Associate Director FIU Global Regional & World Locations; (Uli and Harald) and Dawn Fagnan, the Associate Study Abroad Director from the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management; and Wendy Bravo, the Program Coordinator to discuss their continued collaboration.

It is hard to believe that the very first study abroad program CEPA ran for FIU was a 2-week faculty-led program led by Dawn Fagnan in London, December 2012. Uli and Harald were especially grateful for the generous hospitality and warm welcome by the FIU Education Abroad Office during their stay, as well as being very impressed with the state-of-the-art facilities on the FIU campus.

In a session at the Forum on Education Abroad Conference in Boston, MA, our Academic Director, Marketa Lepicovsky, shared her research on using AI to create education abroad prediction models and assigning the top word categories that best predict faculty-led program success.
