Born in London, Chailey had a taste of international life at an early age – relocating to Toronto for seven years with her family. Later on, summer jobs in London, Manhattan, Toronto, and then a university sandwich year in Seattle followed. These experiences highlighted the importance of culture and language in successful communication for her.
Having earned her degree in International Business in London, she accepted an invitation to visit Stuttgart where she stayed, teaching business English before co-founding a business language school. She then took up the offer to move into organizational development and quality management in the automotive industry.
Whether organizing intercultural events for colleagues in Shanghai (during an expat placement there), harmonizing working practices between US and EU locations, or virtual teamwork with colleagues from around the globe – these interactions have always inspired Chailey.
In 2021 she swapped city life for a more rural setting and was delighted to join the CEPA team in 2022 as an administrative assistant.
English is her native tongue, and she speaks German some French, and basic Mandarin.
