Francesca Bacchilega

Study Abroad Coordinator

Francesca was born in Imola, a town in the province of Bologna, Italy.

Despite having no contact with other foreign languages but English in her school years, after spending an academic year in Germany in 2017, she discovered her love for the German language and culture.

This passion led her to pursue a bilingual degree in International Business Communication at Radboud University, in the city of Nijmegen, NL. During her bachelor’s, she studied for a semester at the University of Vienna and worked multiple part-time jobs, mainly as a waitress and staff for events, which allowed her to quickly pick up the Dutch language through direct contact with the public.

After graduating, she continued her education at the Université d´Artois, in the city of Arras, France, where she started her Master´s in Languages and International Management with Spanish and Dutch. This experience also allowed her to learn French from scratch. However, her love for the German language soon led her to Bonn, where she completed a traineeship in European customer service at the company Walterscheid. She finally moved to Portugal to study for a semester at the Porto Accounting and Business School.

Francesca is now working as a study abroad coordinator at CEPA GmbH in Strasbourg for her final semester, combining her two main interests: traveling and education.

Besides Italian, she is fully fluent in German, English and Spanish, has a professional proficiency in Dutch and French and is studying Portuguese.
