Silke Grossmann

Director of Operations

Silke grew up in a small town in the German Rhineland. After high school, she spent a year as an Au Pair near Washington D.C. and explored the American East Coast during her free weekends and vacation. Traveling and exploring different countries and learning about new cultures have been Silke’s passions ever since she can remember.

Following in the beliefs of the German philosopher Goethe, she believes that “the best education for a bright person is found in travel”. Journeys to African and Asian countries as well as many European destinations have enriched her life and continuously inspired her to create life changing study abroad experiences for college students.

Silke earned her Associate’s Degree in International Tourism in Freiburg, before joining the CEPA team in 2001. Knowing how important education is in life, she decided to study part-time for several years while working at CEPA full-time. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in International Business at Schiller International University in Heidelberg and earned her MBA from FOM Stuttgart in 2011. German is her native language, she is fluent in English, and has a basic knowledge of French.

Organization and German efficiency define Silke. She loves to develop and implement new program ideas together with the CEPA team, faculty members, and study abroad administrators alike. For over ten years, being CEPA’s Director of Operations, she has overseen and influenced all steps needed to create reliable and academic CEPA faculty-led programs.
