Renate Repp

Study Abroad Coordinator

Renate was born in Heilbronn and grew up in a very small village nearby. Although German is her native language, she also grew up speaking Russian at home as her second native language. Additionally, she was raised with a strong influence from the Russian and Estonian cultures because her family is originally from these regions. So ever since she was little, she spent a lot of time travelling through Europe visiting her relatives especially in the Baltics.

Currently, she is a student at the Institute of Technology in the rather small city Deggendorf in Bavaria studying toward a bachelor’s degree in tourism management. Before that, she spent a whole year in Medellin (Colombia) completing an international youth voluntary service at a kindergarten and primary school. Living in a foreign country with a different language and culture was somehow challenging but, even more, it was an unforgettable and very valuable experience for her that she can only recommend to everyone.

Her passion for travelling and getting to know other cultures as well as languages led her to study tourism management, where she could also improve her language skills and knowledge about the tourism industry. During her studies, she also went abroad for one semester to Jaén (Spain), which was a very memorable experience that she wouldn’t trade for anything. Understanding the importance and value of such experiences she is eager to support the CEPA team in Ingershim as an internship student and help make it possible for other students to have their own life-changing experiences.
