Associate Director of Operations
Cornelia grew up in Ludwigsburg, a city close to the CEPA offices in Ingersheim. Her family is not only German, but she also has French and Italian relatives who opened up her mind at an early age to different cultures and languages. She grew up knowing the value and importance of being able to accept and adapt to different cultures. This is one of the main reasons why Cornelia was very interested in learning different languages and spending time abroad herself.
After graduation, she spent a few months in the USA and worked as an au pair. During her stay abroad, she gained an insight into the American culture and mentality which helps her now even more to better understand the needs and expectations of American university students.
In addition to her experiences in the USA, she also spent a few summers in Italy, working at a campsite where she tended to the needs of tourists from all over Europe. During her job there, she learned a lot about the different factors that are important in order to fulfill customer’s wishes and to make sure they have a great experience while on vacation.
After her return to Germany, she started her International Tourism studies in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. During her university studies, she gained an in-depth knowledge of the tourism sector and also spent a semester abroad in Northern Ireland which helped her understand the importance of studying abroad. Her studies finally led her to an internship at CEPA Europe. She returned to university and completed a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.
Now a full-time employee of CEPA Europe, she brings her passion for different cultures and languages to the job, helping her to develop and create programs that are academically valuable and providing opportunities for students to keep an open mind towards different cultures while abroad.
Cornelia is also fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of the French language.
